One of the major sporting facilities in Los Angeles, the Staples Center hosts around 250 events attracting a total of over 4 million people each year. It is the only NBA venue shared by two teams (L.A Lakers and L.A Clippers) and is also the home of the L.A Kings from the NHL. The venue has hosted concerts for artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Muse and Adele and also other non-sporting events such as the Grammy awards and memorial services for Michael Jackson and Kobe Bryant.
The stadium measures 950,000 square feet (88,257.9 m2) of total space, with a 94-foot (28.7 m) by 200-foot (61.0 m) arena floor and includes multiple food and beverage outlets, luxury suites and even a secret tunnel connecting the home and away team’s locker room which Houston Rockets point guard, Chris Paul, accompanied by several team mates, utilised to confront the Austin Rivers and Blake Griffin from the L.A Clippers. It resulted in a verbal altercation.
