Stadium Base was formed in 2019 as a directory website and blog from a need to improve information surrounding sports and recreation. The platform intends to provide a hub where users could easily access integrated data in order to explore, promote and review facilities, activities and events, while providing more consumer control, building strong grassroots sports communities.
The platform gives users the ability to interact with one another and search for information regarding sports and recreation facilities, stadiums, activities, events and products from grassroots to elite levels. It also provides businesses with an opportunity to create listings and promote their activities, reaching a wider audience for an affordable price.
Stadium Base was inspired by organisations such as Sports TG, Hostel World and Trip Advisor – each of these companies strove to provide efficient data while engaging their communities with transparency and integrity. We are passionate about offering information with the same integrity. We wanted the name to portray a large stadium with a centralised hub (base) because nothing is too big or too small, each piece of data is unique in its own way.
In order to maximise efficiency and provide accurate data, Stadium Base is constantly seeking to evolve in order to improve services for each of our customers. In the not so distant future, we intend to provide integrated information incorporating every aspect of sport and recreation based on user-generated content.
