Originally known as Anaheim Stadium, Angel Stadium is located in Anaheim, California (as the name suggests). Since opening in 1966, it has been home to the Los Angeles Angels (formerly Anaheim Angels) of Major League Baseball (MLB). It was also home to the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL) from 1980 to 1994.
Often referred to by its unofficial nickname ‘The Big A’, the stadium is the fourth oldest active MLB stadium behind Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and Dodger Stadium. The stadium is not short of entertainment options with Disneyland and Honda Center nearby among various bars and restaurants.
The stadium has most notably held World Series games in 2002 which the Angels dramatically won against the San Francisco Giants. Aside from baseball, the Angel Stadium has hosted college football games, soccer games and non-sporting events such as The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, Madonna, and Toots and the Maytals.
