Located less than a kilometer from Witton and Aston railway stations in Aston, Birmingham, Villa Park has been home to Aston Villa Football Club since 1897.
The stadium has undergone various renovations and developments resulting in its current configuration which still includes many historic features. With a capacity of 42,785, the venue consists of four sections; Holte End, Trinity Road Stand, North Stand and Doug Ellis Stand. The club also has plans to further develop the North Stand, increasing the capacity to approximately 50,000.
The stadium has hosted 16 England internationals between 1899 and 2005 and also 55 FA Cup semi-finals, more than any other stadium in England.
Aside from football and Aston Villa home matches, Villa Park has hosted athletic, cycling, rugby league and rugby union events. Additionally, the stadium has hosted Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and Duran Duran concerts.
