Victoria Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Gibraltar. It is currently used mostly for football matches and athletics. Named after the wife of Gibraltarian philanthropist John Mackintosh, the stadium is located close to Gibraltar Airport and sits at the foot of ‘Rock of Gibraltar’ which provides a backdrop of its cliff face behind the southern goal.
Despite initial plans to replace the stadium in the 2010s, the Gibraltar Football Association purchased the stadium from the Government of Gibraltar in April 2017 in order to improve and renovate it.
Other than its primary purposes, Victoria stadium has hosted cricket and rugby matches and is also the venue for the annual Gibraltar Music Festival which has seen the likes of Kings of Leon, Liam Gallagher and Fatboy Slim perform.
