Located on Melbourne’s world renowned Sandbelt, Victoria Golf Club is a private club. However, interstate and overseas guests who are members of golf clubs are welcome to play our superb, sand belt layout depending on availability. Please feel free to complete the Enquiry Form below.

Alternatively, you can play and stay in the club’s heritage-listed clubhouse. Each of the elegant, well-appointed rooms has ensuite facilities. House guests enjoy the same playing rights as members.

Reciprocal Players.

Members of reciprocal clubs are welcome to enquire directly by email golfshop@victoriagolf.com.au  about availability.

Caddies can also be arranged. Please advise when making your enquiry.

 

Dress Code

Golf Course

Neat, clean and pressed golfing attire is to be worn at all times.

Shoes must be accredited golf type shoes.  Spikes must be non-metal (ie. soft) and dimple soled shoes are permitted.  Shorts, if worn, must be tailored, neatly pressed and worn with long socks, short plain white socks or VGC or other Club-logoed socks.  Short socks must be well above the ankles.

Members are responsible for the correct attire of their guests and should inform them prior to their visit to the Club.


Men’s Dress Rules

Members Bar:

  • Neat, casual and clean attire at all times.  Golf shoes are permitted after golf provided that they are clean and dry.

Lounge:

  • Neat casual or golfing attire up to 6.00pm.
  • Golf shoes are not permitted.
  • Coat to be worn, tie optional.

Main Dining Room and Rotunda:

  • Breakfast and Luncheon – Neat casual or golfing attire.
  • Dinner – Coat and Dress Shirt to be worn – tie optional.
  • Shoes – Golf shoes are not permitted after 6.00pm.

NOT PERMITTED IN THE CLUBHOUSE OR ON THE COURSE

  • Denim trousers, shirts or jackets.
  • Shirts without a fold-over collar.
  • Shirts with motif on chest or back.
  • Sport or athletic type shorts.
  • Short socks, other than those mentioned above, with shorts.
  • Athletic or jogger type shoes.
  • Shirts worn outside of trousers/shorts.
  • Trousers tucked into socks.

Mobile phones (except may be carried on course – switched off – and used in the case of an emergency).


Women’s Dress Rules

Golf Course

  • Neat, practical golfing attire
  • Tailored skirts, slacks or shorts
  • Shirts specifically designed to be worn outside skirts etc. (e.g. with a band or tailored)
  • Accredited golf style shoes with soft spikes or dimple soles

Clubhouse

  • Neat, casual attire including tailored shorts, may be worn for lunch in all areas of the Club.
  • Golf shoes are permitted in the main bar only after golf provided that they are clean and dry.

NOT PERMITTED IN THE CLUBHOUSE OR ON THE COURSE

  • Denim clothing
  • Track or leisure suits
  • Slacks tucked into socks
  • Leggings
  • Tee Shirts with slogans or large motifs
  • Sun tops, brief shorts or shirts
  • Athletic or jogger type shoes.
