Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, Tropicana Field aka ‘The Trop’ is a domed stadium which is the home of Tampa Bay Rays of the Major League Baseball (MLB) an has been since the team’s inaugural season in 1998.
Opened in 1990, the stadium is the only non-retractable domed, and therefore the only year-round indoor venue in the MLB. Tropicana Field is the smalled MLB stadium by capaccity when obstructed view rows in the upper sections are covered with tarps.
