Sanford Stadium is the on-campus playing venue for football at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, United States (also known as UGA). The 92,746-seat stadium is the ninth largest stadium in the United States, and is the home of Georgia Bulldogs (NCAA).
The venue is known for undergoing numerous expansions since being built in 1929. Each expansion was planned to fit with the existing look with many of the upgrades being built within the stadium’s surrounding privet hedges which have been part of the original design. The views of rolling hills and the campus from the west-end has led many to describe Sanford Stadium as the most beautiful in the NCAA. It is also notably one of the loudest venues in the NCAA, creating an intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams.
