Pool is ok but staff not.

View All

2.5/ 5

I use the pool because it is nearby. Reception staff are pleasant. It is fine and serviceable enough. Often very crowded with school groups but usually enough room to grab a swim. The showers have recently been improved but sometimes the drains get blocked and you’re standing in a mucky puddle. The toilets smell very strongly of urine. All of that is fine for an affordable, easy to get to local pool. However, I go less and less as they’ve started playing commercial radio through bad quality speakers. I go for a swim for some watery peace and to exercise in a non-gym environment. I have politely asked the lifeguards to turn it down, but the two who I most often encounter are incredibly rude, as to be aggressive. Friendliness, zero. Ambience minus five.
