Rheinpark Stadion is the national stadium of Liechtenstein located in the capital; Vaduz. It hosts home matches of the Liechtenstein national football team, and is also the home of FC Vaduz.
Sitting on the banks of the River Rhine which is where the stadium inherits its name from, Rheinpark Stadion is a few yards from the Swiss Border. The Vaduz Castle behind is located behind the main stand of the the stadium with sititting on the shores of the river Rhine and offering endless views of surrounding mountain ranges. The stadium has a seating capacity of 5,873, with additional standing room space giving it a total capacity of 7,584.
Rheinpark was officially opened on 31 July 1998 with a match between FC Vaduz, the Liechtenstein Cup holders at the time, and FC Kaiserslautern, the then Bundesliga champions. FC Kaiserslautern won 8–0.
