Princes Park is one of Glen Eira’s most popular parks. Multiple sportsgrounds, vast open spaces and significant play spaces all provide opportunities for play, exercise and relaxation.
In 1923 part of the local area became known as Shilabeer’s Paddock, which acted as a sandpit and refuse disposal area. It was later developed into around 10 hectares of parkland – the origins of what we now call Princes Park.

Princes Park is home to Ajax Junior Football Club, Old Haileyburians Amateur Football Club, South Caulfield Cricket Club, Glen Eira City – South Melbourne Junior Soccer Club, Sandringham Dragons Football Club and Glen Eira Tennis Club.

The DC Bricker pavilion provides facilities for sporting clubs as well as community and meeting rooms. The pavilion is fully accessible, and includes the following areas for hire:
The Brooklyn Avenue tennis courts sit within Princes Park in Caulfield South. There are two courts available and are a great option if you’re looking for a public tennis court in Glen Eira. They also have floodlights for playing at night.
