Located on the North Shore of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, PNC Park is home to the Pittsburgh Pirates of the Major League Baseball (MLB).
Opened in 2001 during the MLB season as a replacement to their previous home, Three Rivers Stadium, PNC Park is situated along the Allegheny River, providing fans with a view of Downtown Pittsburgh skyline.
With a capacity of 38,747, it is the second smallest venue in the MLB behind Fenway Park. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in amenities, the stadium is considered to be one of the best ballparks in the USA largely due to the skyline views, but also assisted by the multiple luxury suites and ample choice of bars and eateries along the concourse known as the “Tastes of Pittsburgh” which offer a range of ballpark foods and hometown specialties.
In addition to Pirates home games, PNC Park has also hosted other events including the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and numerous concerts such as Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones and Pearl Jam.
