Located in on the east bank of the Cumberland River, across from downtown Nashville in Tennesse, Nissan Stadium is home to the Tennesse Titans of the National Football League (NFL), the Tennesse State University Tigers (NCAA) and Nashville SC of the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Opened in 1999, the stadium has previously been known as Adelphia Coliseum (1999–2002), the Coliseum (2002–2006), and LP Field (2006–2015). It has a capacity of 69,143 and features dual video boards behind each end zone and three levels of seating with multiple luxury suites at each level.
During the AFC Wild Card playoff game in January 2000, one of the most memorable and debated plays of NFL history took place at this venue in what is now known as the “Music City Miracle”. The Titans ran a last-minute trick play on a kickoff return against the Buffalo Bills which resulted in a touchdown, catapulting the Titans past the Bills and into the Divisional Playoffs, ensuring they were undefeated in the first season in the new home.
Aside from football and soccer events, Nissan Stadium is also used for non-sporting events such as concerts affiliated with CMA Music Festival and has also held concerts for artists such as NSYNC, Beyonce, and The Rolling Stones.
