Located in West Midlands, England, Molineux Stadium is home to the Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club and has been since opening in 1889. The stadium was the first to be built for use by a Football League club and was one of the first stadiums to have floodlights installed in 1953.
At the time of its renovation in the 1990s, Molineux was one of the biggest and modern stadiums in England, although it has since been eclipsed by other stadium developments. It currently seats 32,050 spectators, however, prior to renovations when the venue consisted of mainly terraces, the stadium attracted much larger crowds including a record attendance of 61,315 people against Liverpool on 11 February 1939.
