Previously named The Ballpark at Union Station, Enron Field, and Astros Field, Minute Maid Park is located in Downtown Houston, Texas. Opened in 2000, it is the home of the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB).
The ballpark which features a retractable roof and a natural grass playing field was built as a replacement for the Astrodome and was the first domed sports stadium ever built in 1965.
With a seating capacity of 41,168, including 5,197 club seats and 63 luxury suites, also features one of the only indoor bullpins in the MLB and a concourse above the famous Tal’s Hill. Fans are also provided with airconditioning for the hotter days.
In 2005, the ballpark held the first World Series game in Texas and World Series game ever played. This was eventually won by the Chicago White Sox. It has also held soccer, WWE and concerts for artists such as Taylor Swift, Madonna and Ed Sheeran.
