Located approximately 8 miles from New York City in East Rutherford, Metlife Stadium is one of the newer NFL stadiums. Owned by the Metlife company and built on private land owned by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, it is home to the New York Jets and the New York Giants. It is one of two stadiums in the United States which have dual occupancy (the other is the Staples Center) and the only stadium in the NFL.

The stadium was built as an upgrade to the Meadowlands stadium which was once used as a football stadium. Other than regular Giants and Jets home games, the stadium has hosted significant events such as the 2014 Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, Wrestlemania and numerous international and club soccer matches. Additionally, the venue has hosted concerts such as Bruce Springsteen, Eminem and Rihanna.
