Located in Atlanta, Georgia, Mercedes-Benz Stadium is home to the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) and Atlanta United FC of the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Replacing the Georgia Dome, it was opened in 2017 and consists of modern features such as a “pinwheel” retractable roof designed to look like a bird’s wings extended. It has of eight translucent, triangular panels, opening into a circular halo-like shape. The stadium also features a ring-shaped video board below the rim of the roof measuring 18 by 335 metres (58-by-1,100-foot).
Even with the venue’s young history, it has already hosted a Super Bowl in 2019 between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams along, the 2018 MLS All-Star Game and non-sporting events including Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
