Located in Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, Lucas Oil Stadium is home to the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL) and the Indy Eleven of the United Soccer League(USLC).
Built as a replacement for the Colts’ previous home, the RCA Dome (now the Indiana Convention Center), the stadium was opened in 2008 and features a retractable roof and a large retractable window on one end, offering views of downtown Indianapolis.
The external facade resembles a large warehouse, consisting of brick trimmed with Indiana limestone similar to other sports venues in the area.
In 2012, Lucas Oil Stadium was host to Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots. Other than football and soccer games, the stadium basketball and Monster Truck events, while non-sporting events include U2 and Taylor Swift concerts.
