Formerly known as Olympic Stadium and The Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London Stadium is located in the Stratford district of London. It was built to stage the 2012 Olympic Games, serving as the track and field venue and also the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies. Following the game, the stadium was subsequently renovated as a multipurpose venue and is now home to West Ham United of the Premier League.

With an initial capacity of 80,000 for the Olympics, the stadium reopened in 2016 with a reduced capacity of 66,000. Other than regular West Ham home games, the stadium hosted several 2015 Rugby World Cup matches, along with cricket and baseball matches including the first regular season Major League Baseball game in 2019 between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.
