Lagoon Reserve is located in a former industrial area of Port Melbourne on the site of a former lagoon and a short five minute walk to Bay Street commercial and shopping precinct. The native gardens, which contain examples of the indigenous flora of the area are a feature of the park. These gardens have been developed and maintained in partnership with Council and the local community planting group.
Lagoon Reserve can be accessed by Liardet street, Esplanade West and Graham Streets Port Melbourne.
Bus – The 606 ( Fisherman’s Bend – Elsternwick ) bus travels along Liardet street and passes the reserve directly.
Bus routes 250, 251, 253, 238 can be accessed from Bay street Port Melbourne, Lagoon Reserve is one block walk east along Liardet street.
Trams – The light rail Tram 109 ( Box Hill – Port Melbourne ) or Tram number 1 ( East Coburg – South Melbourne Beach )are within walking distance.
Parking – Parking is available around the perimeter of the park, check signage for parking specific restrictions or call ASSIST on 03 9209 6777
