The Honda Centre may be familiar to some from its appearance in the Mighty Ducks D2 movie. It is the home of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Opening in 1993, with a Barry Manilow concert as its first event, the venue was originally named Arena Anaheim before becoming the Pond of Anaheim as referred to by Disney upon the establishment of the Mighty Ducks (now Anaheim Ducks).
Within the same year of 1993, the venue soon became the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, a name which stuck for 13 years after a $15 million naming rights deal was made with Arrowhead Water.
In 2006, Honda paid $60 million for the naming rights for over 15 years. The stadium is predominantly used for NHL matches, but has also hosted basketball, serving as a second home to the LA Clippers from 1994 to 1999 and MMA matches along with concerts such as Smashing Pumpkins, Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez.
