Estádio José Pinheiro Borda or better known as Estádio Beira-Rio is located in the southern capital of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre. In English, the stadium’s name translates to Riverside Stadium due to its location next to the Guaíba River. The venue was opened in 1969 and is home to Sport Club Internacional, a multi-sport-based club, mainly known for its football team. In 2013, the stadium was renovated in order to host several games for the 2014 FIFA World Cup including the match between Australia and the Netherlands which saw one of the goals of the tournament from Tim Cahill. The stadium has also hosted musical events such as Roger Waters, Phil Collins, Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters.
