EE Gunn Reserve

Set across a sprawling three-and-a-half hectares, EE Gunn Reserve has great open spaces and amenities for fun in the sun with friends and family. If you want to play or stay in shape, the reserve offers well maintained green space and shared paths, allowing connections to cycling routes, walking paths and onsite fitness stations.

Playground

Most of the playground at EE Gunn Reserve is under shade cloth, providing great protection on sunny days. It includes:

swings
slides
a metal and rope climbing frame and monkey bars
stand-on spinner
tic-tac-toe, a shop front and maze panel
two large rockers in the shape of a yellow bee and green grasshopper

Picnic shelter and BBQs

The picnic shelter is located close to the playground, with 2 picnic tables available for social gatherings. There are BBQ facilities nearby to the picnic shelter to add another element to your picnic.

Active Recreation

EE Gunn Reserve has many opportunities for recreation, including:

three sports grounds (cricket, football and baseball)
internal walking, running and cycling pathways
outdoor fitness equipment
a golf birdie cage
cricket training nets
baseball batting cage

Did you know? EE Gunn Reserve is home to Ormond Cricket Club, Ormond Glenhuntly Baseball Club and Ormond Tennis Club. EE Gunn Reserve is also home to Ormond Amateur Football Club, the second oldest suburban club in the Victorian Amateur Football Association.

Dog leash information

The eastern ovals (closest to the railway line) are off-leash areas.
All other areas including the playground area and western oval (closest to Malane Street and Beatty Crescent) are on-leash.
