AT&T Stadium, formerly Cowboys Stadium (most still refer to it by this name) is located in Arlington, Texas and as the name suggests, is the home of NFL team, the Dallas Cowboys and on of the most popular venues in the league. Built in 2009 at a cost of approximately $1.3 billion (there should be fifties under every seat for that price!), it is also home to the Cotton Bowl Classic which was previously played at the Cotton Bowl.
The stadium is sometimes referred to as “Jerry World” since Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones had envisioned it as a super entertainment mecca. It appears that the 80,000 (expandable to 105,000) seat arena isn’t far off Jones’ vision with venue featuring a retractable roof, a giant four-sided screen which hangs in the centre of the stadium and a Party Zone behind each end zone on a series of elevated platforms.
Not only is the stadium an iconic NFL venue, but it also hosts an array of other events such as concerts, soccer, motocross and rodeos including Guns N’ Roses, US, and the 2010 NBA All-Star game which attracted a record crowd of 108,713.
