Opened in 1930 on the site of the State Fair of Texas, the Cotton Bowl is located in Dallas, Texas. The stadium which was once home to MLS club FC Dallas and NFL team, the Dallas Cowboys, was also one of nine venues used for the 1994 FIFA World Cup. The stadium was the longtime venue for the annual post-season bowl game known as the ‘Cotton Bowl Classic’, hosting 73 editions of the game before moving to AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys) in 2010.
The stadium now hosts the State Fair Classic between Grambling State University Tigers and the Prairie View A&M University Panthers and also the Red River Showdown between Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns.
