Opened in 1929, home to the University of Alabama Crimson Tide NCAA college team was named Denny Stadium after school president, George Denny. In 1975, long-serving coach, Paul Bryant’s name was added. Bryant was in charge for seven seasons until 1982 and is one of the few in Division 1 of the NCAA to have coached at a venue in his name. With a seating capacity of 101,821, it is the ninth largest stadium in the world and seventh largest in the United States. The Crimson Tide have enjoyed ample success in recent years, winning titles in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017.
