Location: Beijing, China
Capacity: 91,000
Record crowd: 89,102 – Nigeria–Argentina Olympic football match (August 23, 2008)

Also known as the Bird’s nest due to its appearance, Beijing National Stadium was constructed in 2008 ahead of the Summer Olympics and Paralympics. It will also be used again during the 2022 Winter Olympics. With a capacity of 91,000, the stadium hosts various sports, including exhibition soccer games featuring Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City.

With the intent to have a new unique stadium, several architects designed the “nest”, consisting of two independent structures, 50 feet apart; a red concrete seating bowl and the outer steel frame around it portraying the nest. The stadium is well known for its distinctive appearance.
