Our History

The Beaumaris Tennis Club commenced in 1936 with two asphalt tennis courts located at Ricketts Point (opposite Reserve Road).  In 1954 a 20 year lease was given by the Council to build 4 courts and a clubhouse at Bodley Street, before moving to current location in 1966.  In 1973, grass courts were built, giving reason for the Club’s name ‘Beaumaris Lawn Tennis Club’.  Today, BLTC continues to thrive as a fun, social and family oriented tennis club.
