Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil
Capacity: 49,205 (68,727 – FIFA World Cup)
Record crowd: 63,267 – Netherlands vs Argentina, FIFA World Cup (July 9, 2014)
Home team: Corinthians

Located in Sao Paulo, Arena Corinthians is owned, operated, and used by Corinthians. It is the 11th largest stadium in Brazil and the 5th largest used by teams in the top tier football competition. Opened in 2014 with the purpose to host matches for the FIFA World Cup and now predominantly football matches, the stadium is not used for concerts due to concerns of potential damage to the pitch. However, other non-sporting uses include conventions and trade shows.

Although a relatively new venue, it has not come without controversy. In 2016, when the stadium constructor, Emílio Odebrecht stated that the stadium was built as a gift for former president, Lula, upon his request during his time as president. Additionally, in 2013, two people were killed in an accident during the construction phase when a crane fell while carrying a part of the roof, destroying eight columns of the LED screen and part of an internal slab in part of the east building. And in 2014, another person died while working on temporary seating.

With controversy aside, the stadium has hosted key football matches such as the opening game of the FIFA World Cup between Brazil and Croatia and also the semi-final between Argentina and Netherlands.
