Home to the Milwaukee Brewers of the Major League Baseball (MLB), American Family Field (formerly Miller Park) is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The naming rights were purchased from the Miller Brewing Company and runs until 2020. After this, American Family Insurance will take on the naming rights, with the stadium American Family Field.
Opened in 2001 as a replacement for Milwaukee County Stadium, with President George W. Bush and MLB Commissioner Bud Selig having the first pitch honors, American Family Field features the only fan-shaped retractable roof in North America, which can open and close in less that 10 minutes. Large glass panels on the roof allow natural grass to grow while the roof is shut with the assistance of heat lamps.
The Brewers have attracted crowds in excess of two-million to American Family Field for 16 consecutive seasons beginning in 2004. Other than baseball, the stadium has hosted concerts for Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and the Farm Aid 25th Anniversary featuring Neil Young, Dave Matthews and Willie Nelson.
