With construction beginning in 2010, this stadium was completed just in time for the FIFA world cup in 2014. The venue is located on the same place of the old Palestra Itália Stadium and has one of the most modern multipurpose spaces in the Brazil regularly hosting shows, concerts, corporate events and especially football matches. It is the home of Palmeiras. The stadium features a panoramic restaurant, cafes and shops among other world class facilities. While being used predominantly for football matches, in its young history, it has also held Iron Maiden, Paul McCartney, Coldplay and Andrea Bocelli concerts.
